New Hope

As I seat here drinking my coffee all I can do is smile. Coming from a dark past from my childhood to now as a woman can leave you hopeless. It was the summer of 2015 when I met Benito, he was doing some electrical work on my home. After a couple of weeks of working, I lost my home due to a fire. Yes,very depressing. Several months of hard work and being a single mom of three, living in a small home didn't help the situation. Through it all Benito always made sure we were okay. Long story short after a few months... we were dating. A year later, we were engaged, bought our home and we now are a blended family. I never knew what it was like to be loved by a man, I didn't know how to hold someone else hand, other than my children. To look into someone eyes and feel security, passion and LOVE! His my soul mate, my best friend, my protector. There's no better feeling than to waking up to him and to feel all these feelings all over again, if not more. He held my hand in the dark, and every time I wanted to give up on us, he never let go. I'm safe and happy in his arms. I love my husband along with our five children and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Everyone has their good and bad moments. No relationship is perfect. I can go on and on about my husband and how amazing he is to us, but the point is.. don't loose hope. There's always better, there's always a light at the end of the tunnel. People ask me , "Aren't you afraid to divorce again?" My answer is no, its that negative mentality that sets you up for failure and trust me you don't want that around you. 

 

One thing I have learned from the single mom life is you have to learn to be alone and be happy being your own company because at the end of the day can't nobody make you happy but you...once you accept it, anything after that is a piece of cake. I will never again forget about myself, hell I love myself more than anything. I love the woman I have become. We as woman forget our value, we forget how to be loved and we get caught up in this crazy world. I'm beyond grateful for my experiences because they brought me to where I am now. Remember, don't let a bad experience stop you from living a good life. Live with no regrets & be happy!
